Group Leader: Judith Young

The group generally meets on the second Tuesday and fourth Wednesday of each month (1pm - 5pm) from April to October at Troy Lake in West Hyde (located between Maple Cross and Denham).

About our Group

This group is based at Chess Valley u3a. The group have the use of a Wayfarer, Wanderer, Lasers, Picos, an RS Vision, and a Comet Versa.

The cost for accredited u3a members is £10 per session, which covers insurance, maintenance of the dinghies and safety boat, as well as refreshments. We provide personal flotation devices, so all you need to bring is warm clothing and a spirit of adventure!

No prior sailing experience is required, but you must be able to swim at least 10 meters. We also organize a Capsize Drill at least once a season. New members are always welcome, and we provide tuition for those who need it, ensuring that sailors of all abilities can enjoy the experience
