Art Appreciation – Revelations

This Group meets to share enjoyment and knowledge of art in many forms and is usually led by a member of the group who will research and present a particular topic. This may be the works of a specific artist, a style of art or an art related themed talk. Topics planned for the future include presentations by members on the works of Peter Paul Rubens, Vanessa Bell, Renoir and Rodin. Themed discussions planned include early Sculpure , Members' favourite artworks, Churchillian Art, and Animal Magic. Durring the Covid pandemic we have enjoyed sharing our presentations on zoom and have even had a virtual tour of the National Gallery and exhibitions such as The Titian Poesies. We have developed our interest in sculpture going into more detail on the progress through history of this fascinating aspect of art.
